Maria Korporal shows a multimedia installation in which her new, extensive video work Pervitin Power, with music by Edoardo Pistolesi Somigli, plays a central role. The drug Pervitin, known today as crystal meth, was used by the Nazis in the Second World War to manipulate their soldiers. In the video, the alienation of perception and morality becomes clear. In addition to the large projection of Pervitin Power, the installation also includes a series of charcoal drawings and screens with short animated films.
After the exhibition opening, from the 1st of November, Pervitin Power will also be shown online in ESSENCE/ABSENCE, Pavilion of The Wrong Biennale n°5, curated by Matteo Campulla.
